Approach
The three year collaboration and in particular the three projects are all based on a co-design approach that encourage active participation and innovation together with a wide range of stakeholders. The different projects approach to design and innovation is rooted in Participatory Design (PD). Participatory Design encourage a democratic approach to design and that the people that are affected by a project, for example the development of a new technology, should have a saying in its design and development. Likewise do our collaboration and projects encourage different stakeholders to be actively involved in the projects, as informers, designers and even to define project activities and goals.
The collaboration is built up around three projects, each running for one year. Each project is selected based on the previous results and lessons learnt. As such do each project inform the next. The three projects do together inform and support the generation of a more generic, trans-project generation of knowledge.
