After three years the collaborative project formally ended. Pycipedia is still in use and a test of MusicalAid is still planned for the autumn. A new project is under construction... :-)

MusicalAid, a system for collaborative music creation and playing for people having difficulties using 'standard' instruments is demostrated at Culture Night in Copenhagen.

The official test of Pycipedia starts. Two municipalities are involved (Åtvidaberg and Motala).
3rd of September 2019
The project and its (so-far) results are presented for researchers at ITU.
7th of May 2019
Pycipedia is presented to the project team. Improvements are discussed and we decide that we shall make a formal test of Pycipedia in Åtvidaberg and Motala. More to follow after the summer.

A first meeting with the PYC project. What will it be about? PYC is a really interesting initiative for Parenting Young Children, to support parents with the need of some extra support to become good parents. It will be interesting to co-design PYC solutions with municipality socialworkers.

The formal ‘end’ of the AIM project. A sad but great ending! But we will come back! The different group houses, residents, staff and relatives will continue the work initiated by the project. Including (but not limited to) new work and meeting-routines to ensure more quality-time for residents, a new support-structure for residents to sort garbage for recycling and a reshaped collaboration between staff and the residents’ relatives.

A group of social workers from Linköping Municipality visited ITU for an interesting day of knowledge exchange and inspiration. Student works on autism and design were presented.

A project presentation and discussion with the new municipality care committee’s chairman Thomas Bystedt (newly appointed) and the vice chairman Sara Skyttedal. Interesting to get two politicians perspective on our collaboration and work. Finalizing co-design activities with the different partners.

More workshops. More work. In these days, we have mapped out different solution spaces and the different project partners now start to work toward solutions. The way forward is clearer and the different stakeholders take control! An interesting project presentation and discussion with Daniel Andersson, chairman (ending) for the Care committee in Linköping municipality.

The staff have made ‘homework’ and the results have now been discussed between project stakeholders. Workshops with relatives and residents. Garbage sorting and recycling is one of many emergent themes! We now start to have a good idea what to work with until May 2018!

Some project partners from Linköping visit ITU and Copenhagen for two days of knowledge exchange and inspiration for the project as a whole. The program included a field visit to a Danish group home, presentations about technology and co-designing with people on the autistic spectrum. Inspiring!

A few days of interesting work with different stakeholders to extract themes and details relevant to these identified themes, challenges and opportunities. From now, each group home will work with different challenges and solutions based on their individual co-design processes.

The first project (the AIM-project) is now defined and initiated after a great kick-off. We will work with three municipality-run group homes for people on the autistic spectrum, their relatives and professional care staff to co-design innovative social care.
